Groove development thoughts

CHAT a new/replacement tool for Groove 2007.

Provide the Chat functionality - this was removed as Groove 2007 was reintroduced.

• Should easy to use
• Need to integrate into the contacts tool
• Functionality
• Invite others
• History of dialog
• Ability to delete previous conversation
• Persistent workspaces/tool
• Means you can have all your chat tools in one workspace ….. handy…
• Plain text only initially (rich text later)
• Export chat to XML
• Tool can be added to any existing workspace
• Chat workspace can also be used as a template.

NON GOALS…..

• A tool that is a 100% replacement for the Groove version 3 tool.
